During the attach phase, a number of checks are performed and the core is configured. – In progress

  1. If the 802.11 Core Revision is 4
    1. Use G PHY Available and A PHY Available (0x30000) as the set flags in the comparison below
  2. If the 802.11 Core Revision is 5 or greater
    1. Use the current value of the TM State High flags in the comparison below

  3. Otherwise
    1. No flags are set in the comparison below
  4. If the current band is 5GHz and neither bit 0x80000 or the A PHY Available flag (0xA0000) are set
    1. Can't attach
  5. If this is the first PHY we're attaching or bit 0x80000 is set
    1. If the current band is 2GHz and the G PHY Available flag is set
      1. Core Reset and set the G Mode enabled flag (in TM State Low

    2. Otherwise
      1. Core Reset with no additional flags
    3. Enable the Analog Core

    4. If the Radio (check the Radio Version Register) doesn't match with the radio version from the table below

      1. Can't attach
    5. Disable the radio

    6. If this is an A or G PHY
      1. Generate the TSSI Tables
  6. Otherwise
    1. Core Reset with the saved core flags
